Life Cycle

Life Cycle: step 1:The female mosquito carrying Malaria parasites feed on a human and inject parasites into the bloodstream. The parasites travel to the liver and invade the cells. step 2: The sporozoites grow, and produce tens of thousands of haploid forms. step 3: The haploid forms A.K.A merezoites exit the liver cell and re-enter the bloodstream and it begins an invasion cycle of red blood cells. step 4: The blood cells burst, releasing gametocytes, it then cycles and repeats the process. There are 4 types of human malaria: Plasmodium falciparum, Plasmodium vivax, Plasmodium malariae, and Plasmodium ovale.
